Post 2 (11/5/25)  RONALD SHOWS UP, FUN ENSUES...

Bill's nephew Ronald came from northern Germany to spend a couple days with me in Madrid and to pick up a few of Bill's things that I brought for him and his wife Katharina. He helped me shoot a BUNCH of music videos all over Madrid! Stay tuned for those...

Found some major blue walls in the metro!

And saw some fun stuff on the bus on the way to make videos at the Puerta de Alcala arches:

And this is after making a few vids (obviously):

Scouting for locations, many places looked really cool, but didn't cover enough area for a full backdrop. Would have been better if I could have been IN this window, rather than in front of it! haha

I saw a WOW!!!

And a dandy souvenir shop:

And you can bet I made a cool video here:

And after we DRANK JAEGERMEISTER on the street...

The videos got a bit funnier:

Do you know this song by Depeche Mode? (obviously I do... haha)

Now of course you know I have a rock duo called Soul Twin Messiah...

And here are some fun things I found around town like
The Blue Rocker's female counterpart:

Jerry Garcia with hamburgers floating around:

This guy hocking ice cream (helado):

And you know I had to be a little tipsy by this one:

The prissy pink pig and I:

Gettin' my angel wings on:

And I guess you know that one of my favorite pastimes is playing blackjack in the casino. Well there happens to be one right across the street from my hotel! It quickly became my favorite place, local haunt, and social haven. So. Much. Fun (win or lose). All players have a device shaped like an iPad in front of them, and all transactions are handled through that. Although you KNOW I engaged the dealers, and other players, in extensive dialogue and fun table shenanigans...

Next entry will be our fabulous French dinner at a Michelin restaurant...

  1. Had an awesome time in Madrid, Blue Rocker! Huge thanks for the amazing hospitality and all the creative days – it was a blast helping out with the videos. Can’t wait to see the finished clips!

  2. Can’t help but share how I’m feeling in this music store: I can feel the music, the instruments, the whole vibe—and I catch myself wondering if I should be filming, if I’d be messing with the intimacy of this place. It’s just this little moment, full of tiny hiccups, warmth, and music, and it sticks in my memory instantly.
