Post 6 (11/10/25) FIRST DAY IN PARADISE!!

I was grateful to have slept though, felt well rested, and did some work before it was time to head to the beach. I learned from Two Gay Expats that lounge chairs start renting at 10:30am, so I figured I wouldn't go right then, but shortly enough after to rent one. The lady at our front desk directed me how to walk to the nearest taxi stand, where there were waiting cabs available. I hopped into the one whose turn it was, and we were off towards the lighthouse. I skipped breakfast, as I felt I had been eating too much in general and always feel better when I don't eat. When I got out at the lighthouse I made this:

I walked along the shoreline the long stretch to the gay nude area between kiosks 5 & 6. Turns out kiosk 7, which I passed on the way, is the straight nude area! haha I finally got to the more male dominated area, and before I even got to scout the vicinity, a nice looking older (naked) man walked up and we greeted one another, only to soon find that he spoke German and not a word of English. So that conversation was extremely short lived, but made me feel hopeful and excited. I unfortunately learned all too soon that by 11am, when I arrived, ALL loungers were rented, taken, and occupied. Bummer. So I took my rainbow striped beach towel (something I found in Jack's closet days before I left on the trip), and after surveying the whole two kiosk zone, picked a spot for myself between the two sections, the garbage/recycle bins and the ocean. It turned out to be a nice centralized spot (that was lucky for me as well, as you'll soon learn). I was lucky to stake a well positioned plot as well, as it became quite filled in as the few hours I was there progressed. I had my Airpods in, listened to music (which helps me time my sun exposure), and enjoyed the sunshine and views. Naked men were everywhere, and lots were of the age range that attract me. Woah, it was everything I dreamed of almost, except the language barrier thing! A guy walked by and I felt an attraction when he looked at me, we smiled, and I gestured for him to come back the 5 steps past me he had gotten by the time we realized it was game-on for us both. Well what did I discover immediately? He spoke VERY little English! haha Oh well, he was Italian (Giacomo), and that's always hot. This time I was prepared though, so I whipped out my iPhone and opened the Google Translate app, which served us just fine. He is 72 and from Brescia, between Milan and Venice. He has a partner back home, but came on this trip with two friends since his partner, who is 62, had to work. So we chatted for a while, and he invited me to go for a walk, which I wasn't comfortable doing given I was in the midst of a sunning regiment and was concerned about how to handle my valuables if I were to vacate my towel spot. So I added him to my Whatsapp (boy, they sure all have that over here), and off he went. Next thing I knew, less than a half hour later, who stumbled by but the German guy from before. Well this time I was armed and ready, as I had become proficient with the translation app and using it for a proper conversation. So it went. His name is Clemens, and he is 75 if I recall correctly. I felt as though Bill had sent him to me, since Bill had the German wife and of course I saw him just as I was walking in, and then he found me again so easily. So we connected on Whatsapp, and after about a 20 minute visit, including a few kisses and a little light massage, he wandered off. Then I made this little video before the final exciting conquest of the short beach day:

So one thing I didn't mention in the video was the group of Italians who were sitting very near me between me and the ocean. I noticed at one point that one of the guys looked older. When I got a good look, I realized he was gorgeous! I stared at him like crazy but never seemed to catch his attention. I learned later that his friends had noticed that, but not him. Needing to get out of the sun, I got dressed, shook off my towel (blowing sand on a nearby guy, OOOPS! Sorry!), and started heading back out the way I came in. As I approach the shoreline for my right turn back towards the lighthouse, whose path should I cross? The HOT Italian! And of course as with all the guys around here, NO ENGLISH! haha Trusty app solved that one, and we had a nice chat. Turns out he liked me a lot! Oh boy, another great connection. That's three on the day for those keeping score (I was sure scoring). So I got his number in my Whatsapp (getting a lot of mileage out of that app these days! haha), and we vowed to be in touch.

The walk back to the taxi stand is long, and I got an extra half hour of sun that was unintended and a bit beyond my allotment for the day. No big deal, I was not burned, but it did make me feel an off day was necessary to let it cool down. So I vowed to avoid the beach and any major sunning on Tuesday.

When I got back to the hotel, a big pool party and BBQ were on!

Being a guest, I was welcome to enjoy both, although the food was $20. So I meandered through the crowd, perused the men on offer, explored the hot tub area, sauna, and the "play area" behind them. Wow, this was quite a party! I bought a plate of food, which was quite unimpressive I must admit. See for yourself:

I saw NO spot to sit and eat, so I figured I would just go up to my room with it and eat it up there. And on my way to Yumbo next I shared how that ended up:

And meanwhile at Yumbo:

I sat and had a rum and Coke, and then a bowl of Tomato soup, as I wanted something very minimal, and chose it as a tribute to Bill, as it was one of his favorites. It actually came from the Chinese restaurant across from the bar I chose, and had a hint of Asian flavor. Delicious! Then I walked up this staircase on the way out:

In the evening I went to the Rainbow Room and had a great time. I ordered my new favorite: coconut rum and ginger ale, and a caesar salad. I had a great chat with a guy and gal from Sweden. Super fun! He is gay and she is bi, and we really chatted it up for a while. Then a couple guys were seated at the community table where I was by the bar, and they were fun and interesting too. They are a couple in an open, long distance relationship from Kent, England, and north Wales. We had so much fun there. After dinner, I went to Yumbo to do a little shopping. A friend back home requested I pick up something for him, and I found just the thing. I even modeled it for him and sent him the pic. You don't get to see it... teehee

Lastly, I went home to meet Giacomo, as he was coming at 8:30 for a visit. No pics, but suffice it say that we had an enjoyable visit. He left by 11, and I was able to go to sleep, which worked out well, as you will read in the next entry... ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿ’ค

That thing with Yumbo and the gift for your friend is awesome too — you really have a knack for finding just the right thing. I can totally picture you enjoying all of it. I’m really glad you’re having such a good time!
