Post 12 (11/14/25) PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA (THE BEST EVER!!!!)

When a classy, well traveled Italian (especially one for whom I am so hot) highly recommends a pizza, I give enough credence in that to at least give it a try. And this proved the correct instinct in this case for sure.

Before going in, as I was on the phone with Anthony outside, a super drunk, crazy guy had approached me on the sidewalk. He was harassing everyone who crossed his path with a scare and a boogie man style goofy gesture. After seeing him do this a few times, he actually went into the restaurant! I saw him approach the staff and they did some high-fives, fist bumps, etc., so I figured maybe he knew them. Next thing I noticed, one of the guys seemed to be scolding him and raised a hand pointing him to leave. He made his way toward the door, but next thing I noticed, he ended up sitting at a table up front and was served a beer. I wrapped my call, and headed in, with the intention of sitting as far from him as possible.

The entrance is so, dare I say, entrancing, I just had to capture a little video walking in:

I noticed a counter with seating in the very opposite corner from the crazy guy, in front of the pizza oven and the pizzaiolo spinning his magic. The host escorted me over there and told the guys I wanted to sit, so they jumped into action and cleared off all of their equipment and supplies that were occupying that counter and set me up with a place-setting. I felt VIP immediately! I looked over the menu, and settled on the specialty of the house the 450 Gradi pizza, featuring a pesto sauce, mozzarella, spicy salami (pepperoni), and a ricotta stuffing in the crust rim. I became super chummy with the pizzaiolo Matteo and the owner Antonio, so I snapped this pic of them assembling my pie:

Matteo displayed it for me before it went into the oven:

And I got one close-up:

Antonio performed this wonderful video as he removed it and served it to me:

A close up of the finished masterpiece:

And I will let my reaction video do the talking for my impression:

I will rank this pizza among the top three I have ever had in my life, anywhere in the world. I took half of it back to my hotel, and both very late into that night and the next morning, both times cold - mind you, it was still amazing in every way. This was a stellar pie. Period.

Antonio gave me his card and told me about his other locations. He has one in Miami, and I plan to be there in February, so I told him I will definitely be going in for some of this magical pizza. And I also vowed to be back this trip to try a different version. I am so glad to have found something this good!
